Online Info Session (ONE DAY ONLY)

How do we live and raise children in a time of climate emergency?
The Family Place Partnership is joining with community organizer, researcher and teacher, Laurel Hart (PhD), to offer a one-time info session/workshop for “First Steps to a Healthy Climate.”
This program is part of Laurel’s post-doc research with Simon Fraser University, and will invite families to come together to discuss and explore climate change and families, and to take part in eco-friendly activities to engage and support young children’s development.
Please join us for an online info session where we will discuss potential themes, program format, and goals. Information about Laurel and her research is available on this website.
Please note: Participants will be asked to sign a consent form, available: here. Information gathered will be used to help develop the multi-week program, to create resources and for educational research and sharing with other community programs.

ONLINE - One Day Pilot   June 28, 8PM

This program is now complete.
You are invited to take part in the First Steps to a Healthy Climate pilot session!

This fun and engaging program offered by the Family Place Partnership and Laurel Hart (co-founder of Babies for Climate Action), with support from Vancouver’s Greenest City Grant, brings families together to explore climate action and sustainable living.  (For parents with a child aged 0-5).  It is part of a research study to understand the needs of families and to develop educational resources. Together we will envision what programming to support families (with very young children) facing climate change should look like!

The link
https://bit.ly/3zg2UZq brings you to a consent form (since this pilot session is part of a research program), and at the end it will bring you to a Zoom registration page.
