In collaboration with Laurel Hart (mother, researcher and educator), the Mount Pleasant Family Centre will be offering this program for families to come together as a community to explore empowering and uplifting possibilities for parenting with the health of our children and planet in mind. Program themes will be developed collectively in our first session and children will engage in hands-on activities, stories, and songs. You are invited to take part in the First Steps to a Healthy Climate pilot session! This fun and engaging program offered by the Family Place Partnership and Laurel Hart (co-founder of Babies for Climate Action), with support from Vancouver’s Greenest City Grant, brings families together to explore climate action and sustainable living. (For parents with a child aged 0-5). It is part of a research study to understand the needs of families and to develop educational resources. Together we will envision what programming to support families (with very young children) facing climate change should look like!
